TITTLE: Molecular characteristics and detection methods of plasmid-mediated horizontal transfer of Salmonella drug-resistance genes
ABSTRACT:
Salmonella is the No.1 pathogen causing bacterial food poisoning. The unscientific use of antibiotics has increased the emergence and spread of drug-resistant strains. The spread of drug-resistant dominant strains and the transfer of drug-resistant genes have become hot scientific issues. Plasmids, an important movable element, have played a huge role, especially hybrid plasmids in those high-toxic drug-resistant strains, which pose a great risk to food safety. In recent years, we have focused on those drug-resistant plasmids. A Salmonella drug-resistant plasmid molecular characteristics analysis system was formed, a Salmonella pan-drug-resistant genome analysis and phenotype prediction software was developed, and in- vivo or in-vitro drug-resistant gene transfer model was established.
