On April 14, Congressman of Bulgaria and Chairman of the Culture and Education Commission Ms. PolinaKarastoyanova, Deputy Dean of Bulgarian Academy of Agricultural Sciences Professor PlamenMollov, Deputy Consul General of Consulate General of Bulgaria in Shanghai Mr. Marin Dimitrov, General Manager of Bull act Yogurt Corporation Mr. DimitarPetkov, and Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Office of German Chamber of Industry and Commerce Doctor Sun Yangyang came to visit our school. Dean of the School of Agriculture and Biology Professor Zhou Pei, Professor Zhang Shaohui of the Department of Food Science and Engineering, Teacher Jiao Shunshan and other relevant teachers attended the meeting. 

At the discussion meeting, the dean Professor Zhou Pei delivered warm welcome to the visitors on behalf of the school first, and briefly reviewed the process of establishment and the deployment of work of Bulgaria Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University in January this year. Then both parties made introduction and discussion in terms of their respective condition about running school and the intentional cooperation fields. Dean of the School of Agriculture and Biology Professor Zhou Pei and Deputy Dean of Bulgarian Academy of Agricultural Sciences Professor PlamenMollov jointly signed the memorandum of understanding. Both parties will make cooperation in educational exchange and scientific research cooperation. Educational exchange will focus on three items including student exchange, summer course and teacher communication; the cooperation in the field of dairy products will play the dominant role in scientific research cooperation. 

Established in 1869, Bulgaria Academy of Sciences is located in the capital city of Bulgaria, Sofia. As an independent academy of sciences, it has its own publishing house available for the publication of encyclopedia, dictionary and periodical. Bulgaria Academy of Sciences is the first scientific research entity that makes its own research institution open for external comprehensive assessment in Europe.
